Has there been any changes in road noise control since 2014?

I have a 2014 MDX Tech SHAWD and I am contemplating trading it in for a 2019 and I was wondering if there has been any improvement in controlling and improving road noise and vibration.

I haven’t tried them, but I expect the active dampers in the Hybrid and the 2019 Advance models would be noticeably different.

Try a loaner. I drove a 2019 Advance MDX and it didn't seem any quieter than my 2014 Tech MDX, even allowing for I put Michelin tires on mine.

Noise cancellation materials wise, no. The active dampers might be quieter, but just depends what mode you're in. But generally, no, they did not advertise any improvements on this aspect.

Our 2017 MDX Sport Hybrid is super quiet. In fact, it might be the quietest car I've ever driven. The active dampers does a great job soaking up minor bumps on the road. Great road trip car!

I second that. My hybrid is quietest car I've owned and I had RL and RLX prior

Quieter than a RLX? I will need to test drive one of these.
