Finally, got me some Vossens for 15 MDX.
What sup guys, after 3 years of owning the 15 MDX and many stocks add-on. I finally pulled the trigger on the Vossen VFS2. I want to thanks Neoshi and KB1SPEC for had to answering many of my questions. My wheels are Gloss Graphite 20 X 10 with 45 Offset all around, tires are Michelin Premier LTX 255/50 R20. It turned out nice and barely notice any stretch and flush to the fenders.
And also, I had just bought a set of brand new tires for my stock wheels from Costco. They are less than 1000 miles before I decided to get new wheels. Tires are Michelin Premier LTX 255/55 R19 AND I am willing to let them go at a decent price.https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/acurazi...f0030deee6.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/acurazi...d82aacafd5.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/acurazi...b6c14f3d84.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/acurazi...72e986f5bd.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/acurazi...e80447d4cd.jpg https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/acurazi...bf0bb478f0.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/acurazi...f719cd9ad6.jpg |

It is a custom set up from this brand 305 Forged that my friend is doing in Taiwan.
So it will be full forged and graphite color. 20x10 also with stock tires https://www.305forgedwheels.com/wheel/uf102/ https://www.305forgedwheels.com/wp-c...er_UF101-1.png https://scontent-lax3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...e6&oe=59F19AF0 https://scontent-lax3-1.xx.fbcdn.net...ea&oe=5A039713 https://www.305forgedwheels.com/wp-c...-Gallery-1.jpg https://www.305forgedwheels.com/wp-c...-Gallery-3.jpg |

Yes. Going on my 17 MDX.
|
Damn guys I'm all jelly. My wife told me to stop looking at wheels lol. But while I was driving home, someone in a white MDX like mine blasted past me in what looked like 35-38 offset 22s (though, I am also looking into 20s not 22s because a little bird said 22s are no bueno for our hubs), followed by ANOTHER white MDX in stock form and I was like ugh... that's how I look like.
MUST RESIST... |

This current gen MDX REALLY benefits from wider and larger wheels. I hate almost all of the stock wheel options on any Honda or Acura product. Congrats man, looking good!

With OEM wheels at +55, moving to +45 is really no problem. The fender edge is really somewhere around +38 and if you stay with 19s, the gap between the fender and tire is so big anyway that it's really not an issue. Even 22s won't fill that fender gap close enough to cause rubbing.

Yep, lower positive offset pushes it out. I should note that the wider you go with wheel widths, the more likely you are to stick out vs a smaller width rim because there is the added concavity of the wheel design. If you look at the OP's pictures, you'll see his 20x10 +45s actually sit right about flush with his fenders because he has a concave design. Most wheels do add concavity around 10", so you'll likely need to seek a higher positive offset to maintain a flush look. If you look at most 22" setups that have been on here, they've been mostly 9" wide rims, so they're +38. So your 20x10 +40, depending on the wheel design and width will either be right about flush or slightly over, but only very slightly. Wheel manufacturers should already know most of these fitments, so they tend to make compatible wheels only in certain offsets like +45 or +38. You'll notice that when you shop specifically for 5x114.3 wheels in 20x10. On lesser known brands that do more generic setups, you'll need to be more diligent in making certain of these things.

what wheel is in your mdx, look super nice

Wow that's an expensive hobby you have at ~$2500 a set for the Vossens. Looks good though in graphite !

Apollo2TheMoon - did you re-use the stock lugs or did you get special ones?

They look great man! I went with 22's myself because if filled the gap much better and IMHO they don't look cheap, cheesy, or silly like some members here have said. I think it's all about personal preference. My 22's have been outstanding and get compliments all the time and there is zero rubbing at all. I have attached pictures of mine. Trust me I almost went with 20s but after a long research and having looked at my local acura dealership offer the 22s on new MDXs as an option I was really sold on them and don't regret it. I kept the 19s as my winter set, they only have like 8k miles on them. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/acurazi...1b0a63f07e.jpg

Those look really nice! Was thinking of getting those or Vossen CV4 or the new VFS4 on my silver 14 mdx. Not sure how the graphite would look with silver though, might go with silver. Why did you go 10” wide? I was thinking more like 8.5 or 9 with a little less offset. Do you like the way it handles better now? |

I don't know what it is about the MDX... But aftermarket wheels seem to always "cheapen" the look.

I’m between this or the VFS1... were there any mods to make this fit? Wheels and tire guys are saying the highest i can go without rubbing is 20x9 +38. TIA |
