Entering an address in Navi using voice command

When I use the voice command to enter an address it says immediately after the prompt that no command was heard. It doesn't even give me a chance to enter the address. Any help?

Are you pressing the Voice command button twice?
First press brings up menu, then press again to begin voice command

I hit the voice command and then hit it again and say address. Then the command comes back and says after the beep say the address. Then it beeps and immediately says no command was heard. I don't even have time to say anything after the beep. It immediately says no command heard.

The original poster should also provide the model year of the vehicle. I believe you may have some nav differences spanning the now 4+ model years of this generation of MDX. That might help get someone with the same equipment assisting with troubleshooting.

This is a good point because the voice command structure changed in 2016+ models somewhere around October and December 2015 in an effort to simplify the process of reaching command destinations.
