Dealer installed parking sensors on 2018 MDX
Has anyone had the dealer install the parking sensors on 2017/2018 MDX? If so, are the parking sensors illuminated (i.e. identifies which side of the sensor is beeping) in the infotainment system when the sensors are beeping and you are close to an object? I test drove the 2019 MDX which has the parking sensors standard on tech package and just wondering if they would behave the same way.

Yes you will get the dash warning lights and beeping sound. We installed parking sensors on our '17 Sport Hybrid Tech after purchase. It works exactly same as the Advance models that have parking sensors preinstall at the factory. Shame that '17/18 MY Tech didn't have parking sensors as STD equipment. Good that Acura final fixed that for MY19
