I just got a 2018 mdx with the advanced package. Im also using Android auto and while using it, I noticed the clock face on maps is really small. I love to have a large clock face visible on my dash board. Is there a clock app available for android auto that I can download that would give a larger clock face ? Or can I set the clock face elsewhere on the dashboard. Or is my only option to buy a stick on clock. ? Thanks for any input.

There is a gigantic clock wall paper that can be set for the upper screen. You have to dig deep in the settings to find it. Ours is 17 Hybrid Advance.

I am an heavy android auto user and am stuck with the small clock. I find the clock bigger in Apple Carplay when my wife uses it.

Only option you have is a large clock/wallpaper on the top screen which is useless. It will only display clock and nothing else which is waste of screen real estate. You can get to that menu by clicking on info button below secondary screen and will give you options to choose between trip computer and clock settings.

Stick on clock sounds like a good idea, maybe I will look into that as well.

Is the android auto clock really THAT small? I only have experience with the Acura and Apple CarPlay clocks... if someone told me those were too small then I’d say your vision isn’t good enough to be behind the wheel.

Have you filed a feature request with google? If enough people have issue with the clock size, maybe they’ll do something about it.

Unfortunately not a lot of people have complained about this. I am surprised why Acura does not have a clock display in Instrument cluster. Even the RX 350 has one displayed in Instrument Cluster and it has an almost identical one as MDX

Does the Lexus have a clock elsewhere, as well?

I assume Acura didn’t feel compelled to include more than one clock.

Lexus RX has an analog clock placed in the dashboard below the infotainment screen.

I don't know why Acura would give us an option to display a big clock on top screen and waster all the screen estate. It can only display clock and that's it. One cool thing I like is the addition of custom wallpaper.

I am confused, but why do you need a bigger clock? You just glance at it every now and then, and you already know where to look for it on the screen. It isn't something as important as the street names and directions on navi display, IMO.
