D5 gear light

I have a 2003 MDX Acura presenting D5 transmission gear light flashing. Should I take it to the dealer and have them check it? Or should I take it to my mechanic. Any suggestions?

^^ Well...if your mechanic knows the electronics of the MDX, it wouldn't hurt to give it a try. If he can't find the issue, you may have to revert back to the dealer. Good luck.

FYI...You also posted in the wrong forum...this is the 2014+ MDX section but I am sure the moderators will move appropriately.
