I recorded a couple videos of my steering column screeching. It only happens when I park my car out in the sun without a sunshade. It is louder when the steering column extends but you can still hear it a little as it retracts.

yes, only happen after parked long period of time under direct sunlight. i had mine replaced TWICE FYI.

good luck to all others, i wonder if we ever have to replace this again in near future. perhaps parts # is different?

Yeah... needs more grease... but they'll replace the column as the corrective measure (again, for jzhu).
