2019 MDX Tech lumbar

I can feel something loose in the drivers side seat when accelerating and decelerating. I was told by the dealership that the lumbar came unattached and the only fix is to zip tie it in place. They have had 3 at my dealership and 2 others in Florida that the service manager heard about. I cannot believe only a few had Ben reported. My wife is lighter and could not feel it but the service manager and myself could.

Zip tie? On a 2019 vehicle? Come on man! Should be interesting to see how this is fixed. Seat cover has to be removed at least, and putting that back on like new should also be interesting. Personally, I'd want a completely new seat.

I got the same issue on a 2019 A-Spec in Canada. It happened in the first couple of weeks after purchase. Same thing on the passenger seat. Will raise this at my oil change and raise hell as this is completely unacceptable.

Same issues

I have been having the same issue since August (car purchased on June 28). Dealer tech attempted a fix but the issue wasn’t fixed. I took it in again but the second tech was not able to reproduce the issue.

The service advisor told me to wait for the issue to get worse since I have a lot of warranty left.

So far i have had to take the car in 3 times since purchasing it in June. Lot’s of squeaks and rattles with the car that have been addressed. Today my acc turned off and wouldn’t turn on again for a couple of miles.

I think this is easily the most dissatisfied i have been with a new vehicle. I am contemplating replacing it with a used lx570.

had the same issue with my 2019 aspec. I felt it in the first few weeks of ownership but decided to wait until my first oil change to complain about it. Dealership didn’t believe me at first, but they had a tech ride with me around the block. He immediately heard it click and I asked him to drive so he could feel it. He immediately felt it and we went back to the dealership. They took the seat cover off and “secured a piece of plastic”. Whether that was via a zip tie or not, I really don’t know/care as long as it no longer happens. I’ve found at least one other post about this so it’s not an isolated issue.

My is fixed

Had the same issue. Was fixed after 3 visits. They zipped the plastic tubes that hold the wires inside and put soft material between those tubes and metal. The tube was rubbing against metal base. 🧐
