Acura MDX Sport Hybrid - remote startup question
 

Hi, is remote start warm up the cabin/engine in winter and cool off cabin in summer same way in a hybrid as in regular?

The reason I'm asking because I hear when MDX starts it doesn't really start the gas engine but just electic, and in the winter the point of remote start is to warm up the gas engine.

Please advise.

I don't use remote start, but the car will not go into EV mode while the engine is cold. It's in full ICE mode for the first 15 minutes every morning for me, and I can't imagine the remote start would behave any differently.
