I just got my MDX several weeks ago, i was looking for a Silver SH-AWD advanced with black interior and no luck on that color, my second option was the gray with black interior, i had a hard time with that one too but i found it. there is very little inventory that's for sure.

Same. I wanted silver. My dealer had to search high and low and had another dealership do him a favor by selling him the car.

How popular is the MDX? Obviously we're fans because we have 2 (2016 and 2006).

Our friends saw our 2016 and liked the updates from the 2015, so they traded in their 2009 MDX for a new 2016 Advance.

Oh, they already had a 2015 Advance, so they now have a 2015 and 2016 MDX. Both Advance models. Both black/black.

Between our 2 families, we've had 5 MDX's in our garages within the past year.

At least our 2016 is white (the 4 others are/were black)

bought a new 16 White/black, and it took some deal making from my dealer to get one that was headed for a NY dealership to MA... Tough color combo i guess. Love the MDX though.

White seems to be the hardest to find, but I'm glad I got one. I'm biased obviously, but I think it looks great.

acura is pretty consistent on doing a MMC after 3 years on all models.

This is true. Maybe I'm expecting more from picture they leaked. It looks like more than just a refresh. They could be teasing us, and only update the front grille/bumper slightly like they did with the 2nd gen refresh. I hope they'll update infotainment system too.

Just upgraded from my 07 RDX Tech to 16 MDX Advance with Graphite/Ebony. Luckily the dealer had 1 on the lot which I test drove and bought the same day delivered day after. Seems like they have some stock as of now but looking at their lot not a ton of MDX out there, many more TLXs and RDXs.

@ 1st glance, it does not look like there is a shortage in my area as some dealerships have ~30 MDXs on the lot. I am currently helping someone shop for a SH-AWD Advance & we are having a hard time finding what they want. 1st off, there do not seem to be that many SH-AWD Advances out there (mostly Tech) & almost none with ebony interior (almost all parchment). There are only 2: 1 with the black exterior, the other silver; of course they want the gray exterior.

This reminds me of the last time they went car shopping and we could not find an RLX with ebony interior so they bought something else that had the exact combo they wanted: white on black, which is something the RLX does not even offer. Yes, color is very important to them.

Altho I like that Acura separated out the Entertainment Package, I do believe making Acura Watch separate has given them too many variants and thus harder to keep in stock all of the possible options - making it harder on shoppers.

Right now they are waiting to see what the 2017 has to offer but the dealers around here are offering $4k off which is tempting.

Agreed, they should really cut back and put the Acura Watch into either the Tech or Advance only and not a separate option. There are 16 different combinations of car, let along now ext/int color. Gets to be ridiculous to try to keep them in stock for dealers.

True, but Honda has the fewest number of options of pretty much any car in the US!
