2018 MDX ticking noise

2018 MDX has a ticking noise. The blower is NOT on, and it seems related to speed of vehicle, most noticeable when coasting below 30 mph.

Probably going to need more info to get some help. From where is the noise originating? I have had a ticking noise in the past only to find out I had a rock lodged in a tire tread. I swore it was coming from inside the car. Your ticking can really be anything.

Thanks moose66,
I will look at the tires for any foreign objects.

The noise seems to be coming from inside or below the front dash. The dealership tried adjusting/tightening the under wheel well protectors... that did not fix the ticking noise.
It does not seem to be related to engine RPM.

2018 MDX with technology package.

Engine bay covers missing the foam pieces and possibly tapping on the body?

Thanks neoshi, I will keep that in mind.

Today I brought it back to the dealer. The service manager heard the ticking, they thought it was the nuts that attach the sway bar(s) to the struts. They re-torqued the nuts, but that did not eliminate the ticking noise. The ticking noise was noticeable with simply driving across the parking lot at low speed.

I got 2018 MDX two weeks ago. The same problem! 2018 MDX has a constant ticking noise coming from the driver's Dashboard Side! Mostly noticeable when coasting below 40 mph. Did you find out what the problem was ? Have you ever fixed it yet?

Hi, the dealership said the next thing to try would be to take apart the dashboard. (They were reluctant to do this). They said taking apart the dashboard is a very long and difficult process and it could make it worse. Alternately they thought it could be coming from the glovebox. They uninstalled and reinstalled the glovebox. This seemed to help for awhile, but we still get a ticking noise, but less often.
We have kind of given up on this, and are living with it. If you find anything new on your end, please share. good luck

Wasn't it something that had to do with the glove compartment latching mechanism?

The service manager heard the ticking noise. He could not find out what caused the noise. I left my car at the dealership more than two weeks because they said additional time was needed to fix the problem. They removed the driver's side front Fender to check. They even removed the driver's door panel. They couldn't fix the problem! I have given up on this and are living with it. It seems to be ery difficult process to fix ticking noise. I just wanted to tell people out there. MDX isn't perfect! Be careful!!

2017 Ticking from dash

Same exact issue here. Was told it was fuel pump problem, so they said they replaced fuel pump under warranty , recall. The noise didn't go away. I questioned whether they replaced , went back and they said it was rear mount which I found odd but ok. They supposedly replaced rear mount and the noise has stopped. Still wondering about all that transpired but hope this is helpful.
