2018 Acura MDX xm radio is HORRIBLE!!!
I leased the 2018 MDX and the XM radio SUCKS!!!! It barely works. The sound constantly goes in and out regardless of where I am.
I can be driving on a clear sunny warm day, on open streets, not surrounded by large buildings and the sound still goes in and out rapidly.
I wish I never traded in my 2012 MDX because the XM Radio was Perfect! The signal would never go out. (unless I drive through a tunnel)
I can't wait until this lease is over so I can get rid of it.
Does anyone else who has the 2018 MDX experience this same issue? or is my car defected?
P.S.
Everything else in the car is fine by the way, But not having a Working Sirius XM Radio is a DEAL BREAKER for me!

My 2018 also has problems. Nearly every few days I receive a message on the screen saying that my subscription has been updated. I then hit Ok and no longer have service. I have to call for them to send a subscription reset every time and it always turns back on. I never lose service around town though (which my tsx did everywhere) and tech support did a full test on my system and found nothing. Im hoping it is due to still being on a trial service but I know this doesnt happen in the vast majority of trials.

I would only listen to talk on XM. Music quality is bad now that FM-HD is available

For that level of signal drops, you may have a connection issue with the antenna. I know that with my '17 MDX the signal is consistent and I have dropouts only in areas that I have with other vehicles. The MDX has a good of reception as my earlier RDX and the wife's TL. Have the dealer check it out for sure.

I've been having issues with my 2018 as well, it started from the first week of purchase. Currently I'm in my 4th week of ownership and the signal has improved so I've decided on waiting a few more weeks to see the outcome.
