2017 MDX Help With Accessories

Just purchased a 2017 MDX technology and entertainment package. I have a host of things needed. My question is the best place to buy them. Been looking Bernardi. So the OEM I'm looking for mud flaps, floor mats, cargo mat, cargo cover, sun shield and some touch up paint.

Now for the even harder items. Aftermarket hitch, harness and roof cross bar setup for the cargo box.

I would look on-line to find the cheapest prices+shipping from dealerships and eBay. Take those prices down to your local Acura dealership parts department to see if they can price match. I did this with my 11 MDX when I purchased OEM hitch+harness, roof rack+cross bars, front garnish, advance running boards, fender trim, back-up sensors, and body side molding. They were able to get very close to the on-line prices with the added bonus of faster and free shipping in a few days from the parts warehouse since they order parts everyday. Since I've been a customer since 2006, they gave me a break on installation labor because I purchased with them.

I just bought some items from Bernardi for our 17 SH-SHAWD and with shipping, they were cheapest since I'm on the East Coast too like you. The other place I considered was Acura of Peoria but shipping from AZ would have cost more overall even though I've been buying from Tim since 2001 when he was in buffalo. I bought the cargo cover, spare tire kit (including the steel wheel), wiper inserts, cargo net and air filter. Just make sure you read the instructions (they were online) before installing the cargo cover because it requires drilling.

Tim at Acura of Peoria is where I got my spare tire, floor mats, mud flaps, EVERYTHING! Tim knows his stuff. As long as you have the correct catalogue numbers for your VIN# I imagine Peoria or Bernardi are
good, but be sure what you order will fit your VIN #.

Thumbs up Good Ideas

Great posts. I had my local dealership price match Barnardi saving me shipping. Great info on the cargo cover. Hope the holes match up when I break out the dewalt. I think I will go to etrailer for the aftermarket roof rack and hitch. Hoping the 2017 model isn't too new for all the aftermarket items to fit correctly.

The aftermarket hitches just don't look right in my opinion. Definitely spring for the OEM hitch and bumper trim piece. The fit and finish is much better and doesn't hang down below the rear bumper.

Question OEM Hitch

Anybody have a picture of a 2017 OEM hitch? Wonder how much they soak me for that plus the harness?

I thought I had a better picture from my light install, however this is the best I have at the moment. It's tucked up nicely in the bumper.

I purchased All Weather Mats and a Cargo Tray for my 2017 MDX Tech from the "Acura Parts Source" store on Amazon and the prices were better than Bernardi or any other place I could find. The Acura Parts Source store on Amazon is an Acura dealer in Tempe, AZ so all the parts are OEM and even with $8.75 in shipping, I still saved a lot of money for OEM parts. Here's the phone number: 866-455-6601

2016 accessories for 2017

sorry for hijacking your post. But was wondering if 2016 accessories fit the 2017... Like tri fold cargo mat or rubber mats? Was even thinking for using the 2016 advance running boards because it's an easier install compared to the 2017. Any info? Thanks
