2016 MDX oil change

Hi,
i changed the oil and i am a bit confused on the oil stick reading, i used a 5 quartz and a little bit more to get it to 5.7, is the .7 that i am having a hard time, see the picture, the oil stick is not fully covering above the recommended but there is some oil over the cover mark, did it put too much, i keep putting it in and i keep reading the same, the car has not ran since yesterday, i would think if i added more oil that the whole stick will be cover but it is not, half way is covered, what are your thoughts?

That looks full to me. You have oil at the max mark on the dipstick. I normally put 5.7 quarts in and it reads full.

Thank you for replying, it is just hard to keep adding and making sure you don't over fill it.

Make sure that when you are reading the oil level the engine has had time to drain the oil back into the oil pan. If you read it immediately after shutting the engine off, it will read a below the 1/2 way mark.
