2014 MDX's 2nd row seat automatic folding

For those who got new MDX 2014, does your automatic 2nd-row folding work strongly (by pushing the button in the 2nd seats)?

When pushing this button, my MDX automatically folds the seat quite strongly. But, the seat are not moved fully to the forward. It moves a little bit. I can hear a motor rotation sound but running in empty. This weak moving behavior is observed for both 2nd row seats.

The above YouTube video seems that the seat is moving forward completely. I will stop by the dealership to check it.

By the way, MDX 2014 can't do the magic of JX35

Okay..so it works good when you hit the button..it slides up..but that's it!! You have to manually push it back in place! Why didn't they design it so when you hit the button again it slides back into place automatically ? ? ? ?

Reliability of the mechanism. The push-button in the MDX is spring-based (no electric motor). This means it is less likely to break and easier to fix if something does go wrong.

No, MDX's push button automatic folding does use motorized power. I thought it was a spring-based one, but I can hear motor is rotating.

I'm clear that my seat's folding is problematic. It doesn't well slide to the forward. Need to check with the dealership.

I took at 14 Base for a test drive, and the 2nd row seats clearly did not move all the way forward on multiple attempts.

So this car review is wrong?

"A press enables a neat, cleverly-designed spring-loaded process (yes, fewer motors to short out, less weight and complication)."

This is correct. There is "NO MOTOR." It's spring activated.
