I am sure by now you might have found it but just for the benefit for new folks in future, there is inline filter in 2014 acura MDX. If you look from top to your right near that Transmission dipstick, there you'll see it. It's recommended t change the transmission filter every 50-60K but lot of people don't even know and dealer don't care about it.

It's easier to change if you go from the bottom. Just remove the shield for Transmission Drain Bolt and also left side guard near the drive side bumper guard at the bottom. That'll give you good access to the filter. make sure you right tools before your start and better do it when just came from long drive or wait until it's hot weather/summer as their hose to the filter is plastic and in colder it's kind of frozen on to the filter nipple. you'll need angles needle noze plier better get those 11 inch long and small ones from Harbor freight to pull back the metal clips. Also there is 10 mm bolt on the right side of the filter to grip the filter. you just to open this 10 mm to loosen the filter from metal grip and then slide down/up the metal clips from hose. now try to rotate the filter but keep a hand on the hose as well to not brake it. that's why I say either, do it after a long drive or wait for hot weather...so it's easier to remove the hoses from filter. Also be careful when your remove the filter, some oil will drip from filter so keep the rag/tissue handy...also wear the work glasses just to avoid the accident if you are so lost into pulling the hose and oil drips on to your face!.
