'14 MDX tech CPO

I am in the market for a 14 MDX tech. I found a CPO that I like with 32,000 miles. It is great shape minus a quarter size blemish on the bumper where the paint has peeled off. Salesman pointed it out. I would not have noticed it. Ask the dealer to repaint the bumper? Dealer is asking $39,900. I am in the midwest. Any suggestions on opening offer or target price? Thanks.

To be honest, that seems kind of high to me, I can get a 14 mdx elite/advanced with similar mileage for the same price here in canada. You guys usually get much lower prices than here. But I am not entirely sure to be honest.

My one point I would like to note is make sure they COMPLETELY repaint the bumper or replace with newely painted one, not just try and touch it up. It absolutely will peel off much more and could even peel in other places.

Three MDXs are newly available in my area. None are CPO, but that is ok with me. Two techs and one base. All are low miles ( 13K, 22K, and 30K miles). All would meet my needs. I will check them out tomorrow. If I make an offer, it would be contingent on passing a pre-purchase inspection at the local Acura dealer. Hopefully they look good and I can make my purchase a competitive process. Hopefully, I'll have on of these in my garage by next weekend.

Sounds good man. Based on the difference between tech and base, try and get the tech because resale value is quite a bit higher. But if you really don't need it and price is large enough difference, then I don't see why not.
