As is my habit, I like to buy my Honda/Acura accessories online (cheapest) and install myself. I have yet to mess anything up and this latest round went well. I just added Black Wheels (including Storage rack) and a Hitch with Harness to our 2018 MDX Tech SH-AWD. The install for the hitch and harness was pretty straightforward and can be done if you have moderate mechanical ability. The tire rack from Tire Rack is really a nice piece of gear and quite well made. The only thing I did was use longer SPAX lag bolts than the 6 that were provided. Pictured are the new tires before mounting on the new black wheels. Black Wheels will be used in the Spring Summer & early Fall, stock wheels will be used in the wintery/snow months. This weekend I think I am going to tackle the Roof Rail installation. Fingers crossed!!!

Have a snow blower to drive around... Thats a great idea.. do you have that attached all the time or just when you're hauling dirt bags

The carrier is only on there during hauling events. I bought the Hitch and Hitch Harness from https://www.acurapartsnow.com They had the best prices and shipping.

Thanks! Its been a month and I think we like the black wheels/white paint more now than we did on initial install.

 

I am considering the 19 rdx aspec but adding a hitch that looks as good as this is going to be the final factor. I cant find info on this or any hitch set up for the 19 rdx aspec? Any help is greatly appreciated!

 

Nice setup OP, I'm undecided on blacking out my wheels at the moment.
