Wanna see what 4k damage looks like

Wife hit a pole at a car park. They estimate 6-7 days of repair and ~ $4000. On the bright side, the frame isn't damage from my visual inspection. It is going back to acura body shop for repairs.. easier to get original parts.

Did oil and differential change and test fit powerstop rotors 2017+ has different bolt pattern than 2014/5 maybe 2016. I got sent wrong parts before. I have warp brakes for 3 time in 2 years of owning the car. Thought I try something different. Forget resurfacing, these things are so cheap, 150 for front and 150 for rear. Didn't really make sense to retry original part and have it warped again.

Ouch!! Hate it when those pole jump out in front of you.

Might need to upgrade the MDX Adv with the 360 degree surround cameras and front and rear sonic sensors. The cameras turn on when you speed drops below 7 mph. Comes in handy maneuvering in tight spots for vertically challenged drivers (my wife is 4'11").

The pole was actually pretty low. its hard to see at night.. the insurance company sent a guy out to inspect it and also cops noted it was not 'legal' height with reflectors.. so in pitch dark, you dont see it. Ill let them fight it out..

only reason cops was there was the parking lot wanted cash on the spot and wont let her leave.. so she had to call the cops for insurance and to be able to leave..

But damn.. they already cut a check for 3500 with 500 deductible by me

Ouch. Sorry to see that. Hoping the repair work is quick and she'll be looking like new in no time.

If you look at shapes of door, you'll know why I mount it that high, I have 6 hits on that strip towards the rear by the handle. None on the door itself. That's the fattest part of the door. If you look at rear door from a car that is going to hit you, the bottom their door doesn't even touch your car, its the area right below the window that sticks out the most.

I dont understand why the factory mdx molding is so low, no car really touches it.. they'll hit the top of the door first before hitting the molding ie.. most door hits you there, not where the factory molding is at
