U3006-16 after stalling
My 2020 Advance has stalled several times at a busy Intersection. Each time, the U3006-16 would immediately pop up.
I had my dealer give it a look over and they weren’t able to reproduce what I had described.
They did inform me that that code was due to low voltage. They checked my battery and found it to be within specs.
After the dealership visits, I monitored the actual voltage while driving and idle stops. While driving, it was just in the “11” range and during idle stops it dropped into the “10” range.
I then replaced my battery with a yellow top and after a few minutes of driving the voltage was higher. 13 range while driving and high 11 for idle stops. The MDX also has improved acceleration.
My MDX rides like new again. Bye bye to the sluggish ride and so far, no stalling.
If you have a similar issue, replace the battery with a high end replacement.
