Shopping used -- MDX cheaper than RDX?

Wife is looking at a 2016 RDX coming off lease. We are about to close, but i see that MDX are no more than, and sometimes cheaper than, the RDX. Given that the MDX started out $10K more, why on earth are they the same or less?

Should we look more closely at the 2016 MDX? Consumer Reports says they are unreliable and folks don't like them, but I don't have a favorable opinion of CR, TBH, so wondering if folks here have a 2016MDX, and if so, do you have any issues? Things to look for in shopping used?

I just leased the MDX and the cost per month was about $30 more for the MDX. Its because there are cash incentives with the MDX and not the RDXs as they are new. Mt MDX has been flawless so for the 2 months I have had it. We will see.

If you leased, then you are doing new, correct? I am shopping used. Different dynamic, but I guess the compact SUVs are the hot movers everywhere now, anyway.

RDX in that year will have a V6 requireing premium fuel same as the MDX. When we were looking I sat in a couple of RDXs. They felt just too cramped. DD has a 18CRV and it feels way more roomy.
Love my MDX for the room. Hate the premium fuel requirement, and have had some issues with electronics. Wish it did better on fuel economy. The biggest issues Acura has had in gen3 seems to be the ZF gear box. As long as it has had the software update done it should be OK
