possible 2014 CPO purchase of MDX

Hey everyone, i'm very active on the 3G TL page and have a 2008 Acura TL Type S...but right now we are looking to get rid of my wife's 2 door honda civic for a certified pre-owned MDX (first kid expected spring of next year). today we went out and test drove a 2014 FWD MDX with the tech package (navigation). we really really liked the way the car handled, the luxury inside, and the overall value for the price. the price on the certified car was about 36k with 22,000 miles on it.

i've talked to a few previous owners and they said there can be oil consumption sometimes but nothing else really major. are there any things i should look for in particular or what's the overall feel for this car from current/past owners? the price seemed pretty reasonable from all the searching i've done on typical car buying websites (truecar, edmunds, etc). any advice, tips, or info is appreciated!

That price is too high. Our CPO '15 tech awd with 26k mi was $38k 6 months ago, before the '17 was released.

thanks for the feedback and i agree with you...we were going to try to negotiate them down to 34k but i came across an even better deal from a private seller. it's supposed to go through on thursday, but we're buying a 2015 advance with entertainment package (top package) for 32k! it does have high mileage (42k) but we are ok with that since it's such a great trim level. he also has many accessories included (roof rack, roof cargo holder, etc) and the 100k extended warranty (transferable). if all goes well, i'll post pics!

i got a pre purchase inspection done for peace of mind and like i expected nothing major

that's a really good deal for a 2015 advance, do you mind sharing how you find such a deal? I am looking for CPO 2015 MDX Advance, and they are no where under 40k in my area.

we got extremely lucky to be honest and we weren't even looking for that trim (we only wanted tech package).

i found him on auto trader locally, he's a doctor that needs to make room for his tesla model x that comes this weekend so we really lucked out. check out autotrader or private sellers and you may find a similar situation where someone really needs to get rid of theirs.
