Nav and Battery problems....
Ok, how many of you have a 2018 MDX Adv and have 52000 miles on it. the reason I ask is to see if I am the only one who has Battery Problems hat require recharging twice a week?
Not sure if your also having problems with your NAV system? I had my sys updated 2weeks ago and all the problems I had have disappeared, Hooray!!!
I stared having the Nav freeze up during my first trip and that was 2 years ago....

I have an 18 Advance, and I found it not shutting off while stopped at traffic lights.I checked the battery and found it at 30% charge. After charging the battery,it nows shuts off at lights.Battery was replaced last year, prior to My owning the car. I think that the AGM batteries struggle to keep up during the winter months.Too much electrical draw.Heated seats and steering wheel.Auto stop at lights. The charging sytem is dual mode,so it only charges on decleration and idle. However, having to charge twice a week seems wrong. Is it just because a tester shows it not at 100% charge? That is normal for AGM. If it won't start, that's a different story.
I've never had long-term luck with Acura 100 month Batteries with my first 3 Acura (06 TSX, 08 RDX. 11 MDX). I usually get 3 years max in southwest with the old style lead-acid types. I was thinking the newer Acura AGM batteries would hold up longer to atleast 4-5 year range; but, it seems they can fail also within the same time period.
I would also check the alternator to make sure it is putting out enough volts. My 08 RDX alternator was slowly not putting out enough power to run the vehicle and re-charge the battery. Electrical gremlins started slowly popping up until the RDX just died once the battery voltage got too low. Ended up replacing my Interstate battery also since it was already past end of life of +5 years.
