MDX Sport Hybrid Engine Oil Capacity is Different than MDX
If you have your MDX Hybrid serviced you my want to ensure the technician put in the correct amount of oil. My friend had his MDX hybrid serviced and the mechanic put in 5.7 quarts which is the normal amount for a standard MDX 3.5 Liter engine however the 3.0 in the Hybrid only take 4.5 quarts. Also of note the the Hybrid has larger diameter front rotors 13.0 in vs 12.6 with different brake pads. I'm going to make sure whatever mechanic work on my MDX he is familiar with the differences or educates himself with the service manual before working on my MDX.

I haven't looked into the M.I.D. maint schedule or different or additional maintenance steps for the hybrid. The pdf 19 Owner's manual seems to be mostly for 3.5L MDX. Is there an on-line owner's manual with specs and maintenance schedule just for the hybrid?

I have a link to the 2020 which I'm sure is not any different than the 2019.

My 11 MDX 3.7L , 06 TSX, and 08 RDX took 4.5 to 5 quarts to fill up. I've always assumed the 3rd Gen 3.5L was about the same 4.5 quart amount along with the hybrid 3.0L.

Honda/Acura wisely increased the capacity on the J35 with direct injection to 6 quarts, since DI motors run hotter.
