light switch on 2017 MDX

I normally always have auto selected for my lighting. The other day, I pulled up the driveway to load some items for a trip--at 3 AM. I never noticed that the headlights are directed right into our neighbor's bedroom when the car is sitting in just the right spot. I was unable to turn them off with the car still running. The manual says to just turn the light stalk to off, but mine does not do that. Am I doing something wrong or should I contact the dealer to fix a problem?

Those are your DRL's, to get them to turn off, put on your E-Brake and it will turn your headlights off completely.

RDX10,
I did try this during the day, but I assumed it failed as the light stalk did not remain on OFF. Just tried with night falling and I was able to shut off the lights as per your suggestion. Thanks

no problem man. I'm glad it worked and welcome to the forum. By the way just for future reference, we have specific sections for different Acura models. So in the future look for the 3G (2014+) MDX section and that way you'll get more people who actually own a 3G MDX who can answer your questions better!
