Folding Mirrors

Hi guys had many Acura’s 3 TL’s, 2009 MDX, 2010 & 2013 RDX (wanted MDX but wife’s car I had the 2013 TL). Now i just purchase a 2016 MDX Elite (Canada) White Diamond Pearl Love the MDX and quite like the 9speed transmission even though all negative comments. Mine (30,000 klm) might have had the software updated I’ll check. Going in next week too have rear dampers replaced under warranty.

MY QUESTION the electric folding mirrors controlled my a switch manually. Is,the an option where they are auto on when lock the car? I’d couldn’t find this in manual.

Can't say for sure for what appears to be a Canadian models, but I thought the setting for the auto folding mirrors was in Vehicle Settings/Door Setup area accessible with the multi-function steering wheel control. You may want to check there.

I’ve checked manual couple times nothing. I guess there is no option for auto folding mirrors?

  1. Start the vehicle.
  2. Use the scroll wheel on the right of the steering wheel to bring up the "Vehicle Settings" menu in the MID. Press the scroll wheel to select.
  3. Scroll down to "Door Setup" menu in the MID. Press the scroll wheel to select.
  4. Scroll down to "Auto Folding Door Mirror" menu in the MID. Press the scroll wheel to select.
  5. Scroll down to ""Manual Only" in the MID. Press the scroll wheel to select.
  6. Exit menus.
  7. Turn vehicle off.
  8. ...
  9. Profit.

I went into vehicle settings and there was no auto mirror setting. Must be only in US models? Oh well I’ll just have to use the manual fold button. Thanks for help.
