Door lock "hide" mod

Door lock "hide" mod
Has anybody attempted the mod to "delete" the lock using the door handle cover from the rear door? I did this to my TL and I liked the look. I'm just wondering if you think it would work on the MDX?
I know the drawbacks but I like the look and it's plastic so I can break it off if I really needed to.
Here is the part: COVER, L. RR. for 2016 Acura MDX|72683-TZ5-A11

can you post pics of the TL you're talking about so that we can get a better idea of your "mod"?
thanks

I did that mod to my TL. Basically you get rid of the keyhole on door handle by removing the cover. You take the same cover off the left rear door and install that over the removed keyhole cover. That way, it looks clean and it does not show the keyhole. You end up buying a cover for the left rear door to install on the driver side door.
I purchased that piece to do the mod on my 15 MDX, unfortunately, it is not easy to do like the TL. It is screwed in from the inside of the door handle and its metal not plastic. At least on the Tech model. So it would not be easy to remove in case you need the keyhole.

People have been doing this since the 1996 civic sedans released. It is cleaner but the cost and time outweigh the benefits.
Its such a large vehicle that keyhole isnt as visible as it used to be.
Back then a huge circle of silver was the deal breaker. Now our chrome handles kind of swallow it up
