Does Acura Certified takes the worries away??

I am in process of closing a deal on 2014 MDX SH-AWD with Tech. But the built date of this car is mid 2013 (early 14 builds). I know there were known issues and recalls with first lot of the any MDXes.
As it is certified by Acura is it OK to assume the issues are sorted out and the car will reliable?

Thanks

a used car is a used car is a used car is a used car.

YOU as the buyer will still have to have due dilligence when buying a used car.

it all DEPENDS on how the previous owner treated the car. if treated poorly, you wil get a poor used car.

No.

it ain't Hakuna Matata just because it's CPO. do your due diligence, ask questions, do PPI

It also depends on the dealership that does the CPO. If they are a less than excellent dealer you may just get a used car with a CPO slapped on it. I kind of take the CPO thing with a grain of salt and knowing it adds a lot to the price in many cases. Test drive it real good, overnight if possible and take it to a independent shop to check it out.

Isn't there still some original coverage left on the vehicle?

You need to check the in-service date to determine remaining warranty. 4 year / 50,000 miles bumper-to-bumper and 6 year / 70,000 powertrain warranty from that date forward. Certification is supposed to add or extend this time for a longer period. See my other post "What's going to break next on my 2014" for a list of challenges I've had...
