DIY Video Tutorial - Headlight Armor Headlight Protection Film - Acura MDX
While current composite headlights resist breakage significantly better than headlights in the past they are highly susceptible to pitting and eventual hazing. Adding a tough layer of protection will greatly increase the life of the headlight. Once the sand blasting starts and the factory hard coating starts to wear away the degradation starts.

I haven't had experience with Headlight Armors product but I do have a clear bra on my headlights. Its a good investment if you plan on keeping the car 5+ years

Protecting your headlights is a good idea no matter how long you think you will hold onto the vehicle. Degradation starts with each pit of the factory uv coating. Each one lets in a little more sun light and over time you end up with hazy headlights. Just look around the parking lot and the older the vehicle the less likely they are to have clear headlights.
On a side note, the materials we use are about twice as thick as clear bra for painted surfaces and has more capability to absorb impacts.
