It may be a while before prices level off for new and pre-owned vehicles. It was bad before, with the chip shortage showing no real signs of improving, and then the storms which ravaged the south and north caused severe vehicle losses. I'm not in the market, but look pretty much daily at Carmax, Cars.com, etc. The movement of the hybrids is rapid. One day it is there, the next day it isn't. People want these vehicles. And appear to be willing to pay for them. If you find one, and have to have it, you may just have to pay the premium. Prices may come down, but inventory may not rise to meet the demand.
