Chirping sound related to HVAC on 2016 MDX Elite
Hi
I seem to have a chirping noise in the cabin once the car has been driven around for a bit. The dealer changed the fuel pump first thinking it was related to that, but the noise was back. By then I figured out that if I turned the HVAC off, the noise goes away - with this information, the dealership changed the blower motor but the sound is still there. Has anyone else experienced this and what are your suggestions? It's not always possible for the sound to be reproduced at the dealership which makes it hard. In the attached video, the noise can be heard and once I turn the HVAC off it goes away.

My 2017 MDX Tech has the exact same issue too. I noticed that it started happening one day after I floored the car from a stop. I'm not sure what caused it, but i've found that if you put the fan speed to 3 or higher that you wont be able to hear it as much.

Oh interesting, I never thought of turning off the rear A/C. Well that solves that I suppose. As for getting the dealer to fix it, are they doing in by goodwill or do they charge you for it? I'll have to look into getting it repaired aswell.

I have extended warranty so they are covering it through that, also I took the chirping issue to them when I had comprehensive warranty and they changed the fuel pump, so they know the issue was opened before my warranty expired and have been great so far. I just spoke to the dealer and told him my findings and he's going to come back to me with when he can replace the rear motor. Your 2017 should still be under warranty and should be covered.

Oh I see, thats good to have I suppose. Our MDX is currently at 64k miles so i'm a decent bit past the warranty period. I'll probably just let it be for now as its a minor inconvenience at most. Thanks for the info though!
