Been having this issue lately where the brake alert comes on at the most random times (no one in front of you, or very far in front of you, etc). Has anyone else been experiencing this?

I have that issue on my 2014 as well. Although I had my front windshield tinted but I doubt that could of affect that since the tint did not cover up the sensor.

Of course, get the software update first if you haven't. Also, Might sound weird, but make sure the windshield is clean around the rear view mirror where the sensor is. I've seen that cause issues.

I also have random alerts. Between that and the LDW, there's always beeping and flashing lights in the car. I'm numb to it.

I've had the software update and it's no better. Matter fact I think it comes on more now. I finally turned the stupid thing off. Just another of the so called normal items on this MDX as far as Acura is concerned.

I finally picked up my 2014 MDX advanced 2 weeks ago and have some first hand experience now with the CMBS. The only time I've had it kick in, is when approaching a car in front and changing lanes, while getting a little too close to his bumper as in the middle of the lane change. This has caused the BRAKE warning to show, and also the yellow lights in windshield HUD to flash. I actually felt it brake, but it didn't brake super hard, and wasn't an annoyance or interruption to my drive much, other than to think "oh, that was interesting". That's sucks that yours is brakes at such weird times. I wish I had an better answer than, mine seems to be working fine.
Is there some reset you can do on the system?
