Annoying constant noises!

Lately when the engine is on, there's this constant ticking noise, similar to if your desktop PC is on.
Also when I turn on the heat, there'd be constant noise similar to cicadas in the summer except it's very faint but just enough to annoy the heck out of me.

I'm not sure how I can address these issues to the dealer without being accused of being too picky. Plus you can only hear them when it's quiet in the car.

Check your drive belt

Really? Belt issue? The noise when I turn on the heat is what really gets to me.

Isn't it still under warranty? Take it to the dealer!

If the heater & A/C make noise anytime that the blower motor is operating, it could be a motor issue or something like a leaf caught in the impeller. I had a mouse nest there last Summer. Dumb Acura does not put a screen at the cowl inlet, so all sorts of stuff can get in there. After cleanout, I installed window screening.

You can pull out the cabin filter in the back of the glove box and see the impeller with a small mirror and flash light.

Great idea. I'll try that. Thanks.
