Hi everyone,

I am planning to buy a 2014/15 MDX. Can you share some insights on what I should look into when making the purchase? What are some technical issues that I should look for during the test-drive and what potential issues should I consider in the long-term? The 2014 MDXs seem to be getting a bad reps, what's your view on that? Any feedback is much appreciated.

2014 is the first year design so I would stay away from that year. 2015 or 16 is good. But depending on what model you are looking for. SH-AWD, Advanced or Tech model?

There is a thread here for all the TSB of recalls and fix and bug you can check as well. It all comes down on what models, higher the model, the more complicated issue may come up down the road.

@KB1Spec, thanks for the clarification on the model year. To be honest, I have no idea which model I am looking to buy. Can you suggest where I can find some more info on differences between each?
