Acuralink worth it

Hi, i am in the market for a MDX for maybe the end of this year or later. I noticed that the acuralink is free for the first three years, i checked the prices and if you commit to 5 years will cost about 8 dollars a month, there are more options but this is one. My question is, for those who own the MDX right now, would you keep it or recommend it? thank you.

But for new owners, there is a 90 free trial of the AcuraLink premium.

I say not worth it. Probably the only thing that GM has on acura is that onstar can start car via phone app. Acura rep told me its in the works but not yet.

Yes, traffic alerts continue for the 3 years even if you cancel the free 90 day trial.

Have had the MDX for 7 months already, and haven't used AcuraLink even once.

Cars in the future should allow a phone/tablet to display the nav on the car's screen.

Cars in the future don't need navi at all.

Just tell the car where you wanna go, and it will take you there in the shortest time possible.

AcuraLInk Connect allows you to send destinations from iPhone to the navigator, which is something that can't be done when driving. The list of destinations can even be pre-sent.

I personally like it, just a little extra peace of mind. It not too expensive. Taken, a satellite system is maybe superior though even satellite systems dont work everywhere, like in cities with tall buildings, garages and mountains. Its cool to use the app for checking and controlling the vehicle, plus it includes the automatic accident reporting and route preplanning.

I've tried on the Nexus 5 and Samsung S3 and can't get either app to work and pull up details like locked door status.

Still I think it's worth it as you can check through the website pretty easily.

Works on my Note3 and S3, though depending on the 90days usage, I don't think I'll keep it, though Premium features are pretty nice, I don't think It's necessary anyway.

Ive never had issues with my htc evo. If I were you I would reinstall the app.

Not sure why I didn't try that before..that worked. Before I could get the initial mileage and gas level to read but not the details, so I figured it was just a junk app. Thanks!

I use this feature daily. For ME, it was worth the 3 year price for this feature alone. Much better than typing in all the destinations on the touchscreen, and as kinmanc stated, you can have a passenger send directions via the app while the car is in motion.
