AcuraLink Premium MAIN Reason NOT To Keep
We took a roadtrip in our new MDX and upgraded to the Acura-Link Premium to test out features. Standard comes with car and is good for three years. To upgrade you must put a hold on a credit card. To cancel, you must notify AcuraLink (800) 382-2238 30 days before the end of your 90 day trial. After 90 days...you get a nice $348 charged to your card. Went on a roadtrip with our new 2015 MDX. Most of the features are fun, shiny but in the end redundant. You get Acura roadside assistance with your warranty but most of us have some type already with our insurance. If you travel extensively, the Live Assistance 24/7 Cloud-Based Nav Services, and Real Time Vehicle status could provide peace of mind. We used our phone or planned our course at home on the computer. In an emergency, these are extremely nice. Here is why we decided NOT to keep it.
We bedded down for the night in a remote hotel in Oregon after a long day on the road. I checked my nifty AcuraConnect app on my iPhone and this is the message that appeared.

I am doing the same thing. I finally got around to activating my AcuraLink service and they talked me into the free 90 day subscription to premium. Claimed they would contact me 7 weeks into it but I will be calling them to cancel it so my card doesn't get charged.
I too am experiencing the same erroneous status information. The app tells me there are all kinds of errors and to have the car checked; yet when I drive it there are no check lights on and no issues.
Looks like the software is not ready for primetime. The only thing that is kinda cool about it is the ability to send your intended destination from your cell phone to your car for the Nav.

RSTSX09XMNAVWX.............Does the app on your ipad and phone report oil pressure issues, charging system issues and similar stuff like in the photo that janeybob2000 shows in the image above? That is what I am experiencing. Everything else in the app works great but why does the app erroneously show there are all sorts of mechanical problems with the car? Are your devices NOT showing similar errors ?

pcaddict66 Thanks for validating/duplicating my situation. I suspect, as you said, that the app is "not ready for primetime". I do like all the tech capabilities and safety tools that the app provides. But I am a bohemian by blood and when I am spending money, I need reliability.
