AcuraCare
Hi Fellow MDX'ers
I have a 2019 MDX A-Spec with 17,000 miles. Factory 4yr/50k miles ends in July. I plan on keeping the thing for a few more years considering the low miles. With that, can anyone tell me more about AcuraCare....Plan details, Cost, Experiences with the warranty and can I shop around Florida dealers for best price?
Any info is helpful and thanks !!

I got my acura warranty through curry Acura, if you google it, the warranty page will pop up.
It shows up on my invoice at my local acura dealership directly under the description of the car, it list the millage and date the warranty is good through.

I "think" the OP is limited to only purchasing Acuracare from a Florida dealership? It the exact same Acuracare offered by all other states; but, Florida has a rule of you can only buy in-state warranty coverage if you are a resident. Just research to make sure the dealership isn't trying to sell you a 3rd party warranty. Some 3rd party warranties sound good on paper; but, the fine print might have a lot restrictions like you must perform ALL scheduled services at the dealership, certain items are not covered, small repair network, limited to no out of state coverage, or PITA reimbursement process.
I had 5yr/120,000 mile Acuracare for my 11 MDX Adv+Ent because of the magnetic shock/struts (Curry Acura, $2390, purchased back in 2014). I've used it for replacing both front seat heaters ($700 each) and rear magnetic shocks ($1500). I just added 5yr/120,000 miles Acuracare to my 19 MDX Adv Sport Hybrid with 41,000 miles ($2600). Planning to keep my 19 MDX for another 5-8 years or 120,000-150,000 miles. I just purchased at my local Acura dealership because it was the same price as online. There was a +$200 premium for my current mileage (your premium might be around +/- $100 at 17,000 miles). I got Acuracare for my MDX because there aren't a lot of Sport Hybrids on the road with high mileage and everything cost $1000-$8000 to fix/replace on the Sport Hybrid if it craps out before 120,000 miles. I purchased my RLX Sport Hybrid used/CPO and just had the rear glass electric pop-up sunshade come off its tracks. The CPO/Acuracare warranty was charged $1500 to replace ($1350 part+labor). It would have stayed broken if I didn't have Acuracare/CPO warranty.
I would lean towards Acuracare if I had a MDX Sport Hybrid or the +22 MDX Type-S because of unique powertrain, suspension, and ECU/systems. I would probably pass on Acuracare for the 3.5L base, tech, Adv, and Aspec MDXs (skipped Acuracare for my 06 TSX and 08 RDX Tech and had zero issues).

I was considering purchasing Acuracare, but my '19 Mdx Hybrid was in an accident where most of the front suspension on the driver side had to be replaced. Engine, transmission and the rest were unaffected.
Everything was repaired using an Acura certified shop. i have been back driving the vehicle for over a year now and its been perfect in that time.
But i was wondering if i purchased acuracare would they use the accident as an excuse to not cover some things?
I want to keep the car for a few more years if possible. ( the gas mileage and Music hard drive are too good to leave behind! )
Has anyone else been in a similar situation, what has your experience been?

I had Acura Care on my 2014 and never used it. Car was totaled. The refunded it then I bought a 2015. The selling dealer has to add it. We did and I used the money to put it on the 2015. The bad part is that they go off age as much as mileage. If you never drive the car much the warranty will still expire. That said, they covered the upgrade when CDMA was turned off so I still have Acura Link. That would have cost $1000 more than the cost of the Acura Care.
