3rd Gen with new 21" 2022 Type-S Wheels
I posted on the other site; I figured I'd share with Azine as well.
2019 MDX Advance (FWD)
with
21" OEM 2022 MDX Type-S wheels
275/40R21 Continental CrossContact RX
Notes:
-- Holy crap the images came out big - I would resize, but I don't see the option. I guess you can see the wheels better larger, so here we go...

Notes:
- TPMS needs to be swapped out (I ordered new TPMS but they have not arrived)
- Perfect fit - no rubbing - wheel offset perfect for an athletic stance
- Still lends a factory look while really complimenting the lines of the vehicle
- Better handling - wider 275 tires provide better traction
- Going from 20" to 21" yields a slight uptick in road bumps (not bad - worth it for us)

Looks nice, how much mpg have you lost after the wheel swap?

It's only been a week or so since the swap, so I'll need a larger collection of data to be sure, but there's definitely a MPG hit with these wheels. More mass per wheel means less MPG. Now for us, the improved traction and aesthetics are worth the small MPG trade-off. Plus I would argue anyone buying a required 91-octane MDX for MPG purposes is buying the wrong vehicle.
That being said, a quick glance at the MPG indicator plus come cowboy math means we're getting around 1 MPG less.

So, the MPG difference you're seeing is likely also related to the tire size difference. The new tires you're running are taller by just a bit, so you're not registering as many miles overall as you were with the stock Advance tire size on 20" rims. Also, the tires are wider by almost 4 percent, which will give you less MPG's due to the extra patch on the road. Here's a screen grab of the comparison of your size vs stock. They look good, but are just a tad bigger than what you had originally.....

My buddy has a black Type-S Advance (not his exact vehicle shown, but this is exactly his spec) and he hadn't seen my car since we bought it a few weeks ago. He looked at the wheels and said it looks awesome but that I was cheating. Ha.
He was the first black Type-S owner in Orange County. He paid up the ass. Sweet ride though.

Looks awesome!! Where did you buy the wheels? Ive been on the fence about waiting for the 22s to drop in price, or just get a 20, and I think this has swayed me to just get a 20 sh-awd
