Well I heard back from my local dealer and I'm not happy. They wanna hit me with a $1500 destination fee, $800 prepurchase fee, and a nearly $1000 upcharge to put on some accessories. OTD price is 49k~ with the 5500 finance incentive, 1500 loyalty, and what they call a "generous" 2000~ dealer discount. Gonna go ahead and contact some other dealers...

I think they were hiding it. I have found that with some dealers too. They quote one number but then add on stuff later. Made me walk away since I don't have time to deal with someone not be clear on the numbers.

What is reasonable for title registration, license and document fees? I know this varies but I would appreciate a ball park figure for Tx, either Dallas or Houston.
2K looks awfully high for title registration, license and document fees. I've gotten a quote that included destination charges . After adding 6.25% tax to that quote, there was a 2K difference. What other fees are there beside title registration, license and document fees?

This calculator should give you a ballpark Tax Title and License amount for TX
Thank you jBaty! Came pretty close to what I was willing to give for title/license/doc fees.

I'm also looking at a 2020 MDX SH-AWD Tech or Base in northern NJ. Anyone has any idea what they are currently selling for?
Debating on whether to pay the extra $5K on a Tech since only the Blind spot monitoring in the Tech is what I'm interested in. I really don't care much about
the extra bells and whistles to warrant paying the extra $5K.
Has anyone also concerned about the Acceleration and Stalling Defects on MDX and RDX? Apparently there is a TSB.

Any Acura Service Dealer can add it. It’s definitely pricey from the dealer but I think you are better off than going to an aftermarket place. It’s really the only feature my wife wanted that’s on the tech.
#132
did they add any parts to the car itself? Because all trims has it, except the base. I wonder if the only missing part is the new Key fob and activate it in the software.
#133
#134
I've been wondering the same thing. The rear touch sensor door handles are something I would also wonder if the wiring is already there on the base and just adding the touch rear handles might add that feature. Would be awesome if someone with a Base could confirm these suspicions.

Located in Los Angeles and just picked up a 2020 AWD Tech Steel with Espresso interior (my first choice in colors!) in Sunday. MSRP $52,525 and I received a $12,000 discount and additional $1,500 Loyalty cash. So basically $39,000 but it is structured as a lease with lease purchase after 3 payments (as described above).

Burning Brakes
The wiring is in the car, but there are added components that need to be installed behind the dash to activate it. All plug-and-play, and you get 2 new remotes to replace the ones w/o remote start.

The accessory part number is 38015-TZ5-A30 . It has the receiver, bracket, and remotes included. Link to a set of instructions is below - its the same for 2016+ MDX base models. http://secure.autopartspeople.com/ac...structions.pdf

I have a question for any Acura dealers / incentives people on here:
Did incentive programs from October roll over from October to November? Put another way, if I walk into my local Acura dealer and try to buy an MDX today, am I still looking at aiming for $10-11K off MSRP? Considering an MDX Tech SH-AWD this month.
I'm eligible for Honda loyalty (not with the TSX) and happy to finance with standard rates and pay it off later. The way I calculate it, $5500 Finance Cash + $1500 Loyalty + $1500 Dealer Cash = $8500 in rebates, plus a little additional discount gets me to the $10-$11k discount target.

If so, we could get the remote starter key fob and program it to have a remote starter. If anyone with a base model can take a peak if that receiver is already installed, it would be helpful.

39K Sale price for 2020 MDX AWD with Tech Package. With the Conquest/Loyalty, its 37.5K. + ( tax/tags and other dealer fees)
Did not close the deal as I didn't get good price on my trade-in, and dealer fee was too high.
There are plenty of 2020MDX in the lot, and with 2022 coming in 3 months, I can wait more...

location :VA.
I am dealing with OTD price, and they are willing to sell it for 40K OTD. Working backwards from this ( minus tax/tags, dealer fees, incentives), it comes to around 37.5K.
incentive : $1500 loyalty/Conquest

2020 MDX AWD Tech
I've been quoted by 2 dealers -
Dealer #1:
Sticker: $52,525
Price: $49,125
- $5,500 finance discount, -$1,500 loyalty.
Net: $42,125
Dealer #2; $50,000
Same discounts.
I expected to see net prices < $39k based upon some of the comments here. Is this price range possible, or are these offers in the ballpark?

Dealer explained they had Flex cash to play with, and now that's out, new price is 41K OTD.
So I walked in today to buy it, and I was quoted 44K OTD. I Walked Out...
With 2022 coming in 3 weeks, there is no reason to pay 44K for 2020 MDX. They have lot of inventory, and price will go down..
#153
If the Flex cash was indeed a separate (from loyalty and finance) cash incentive that dealer got from Acura that they had passed on as discounts to customer, then did they say how much was the Flex cash back then in Dec?
For reference I am seeing the exact same pricing on Truecar that I was seeing back in late December.
You are right about the inventory. They are not selling as much. I don't see how they can sell enough to make room for the 2022 before Feb end without additional incentives.

So I've never purchased a new vehicle, I was in the market for a 2018 mdx awd tech pkg, but with 72 month financing and these numbers I am seeing for a new 20 mdx teck pkg I might consider that.
I have a 2009 TL which I don't believe qualifies for the $1500 loyalty, but what is the $5500 incentive for financing? I am not seeing this on any local dealers websites. Can someone explain that a bit?
Also should I just ask for an OTD without TTL price at a local dealer? Or how does one go about negotiating on a new car.
Appreciate it in advance..

BTW, that 09 TL does work as a loyalty discount.

Yes, the $5500 incentive is tied to financing. It's cash that Acura extends to dealers to get a financing deal done with the buyer. There's no pre-pay penalty but they dealers do push a soft lock-in asking you to keep the Acura Financing loan for at least 3-6 months. When I bought my 2020 hybrid I was told a 3 month soft pre-pay lock by sales, but eventually when I got to financing the finance rep confirmed that there's no pre-pay penalty.
There's no way for the dealers to get this $550 incentive (and hence no way for them to pass this on to the buyer) if the buyer doesn't finance through Acura Financing.
The loyalty/conquest is not just about prior acura ownership. If you have other makes like Lexus, etc. (there are many, just search for Acura Conquest offer) then those makes are eligible as well.

Confused about the $1025 destination charge. It should be included in the $59,275 MSRP.
Is the $48,995 with all the discounts, including the Acura Finance $5500 discount? And the $48,995 does not include the tax, title and fees, correct?
