For the look only. No improvement in terms of vehicle performance over the regular production MDX.

Also, final year in model generation.

Cosmetic changes only. Probably has appeal to limited audience. Someone who wants a unicorn.

 

I would go for the PMC MDX if it was the sport hybrid with the 3.5L powertrain like the RLX hybrid.

 

I would go for the PMC MDX if it had the twin-turbo V6 powerplant.

 

With even Ford offering a high performance mid size SUV in the Explorer ST (400 HP & 415ft/lbs torque), I sure hope the next MDX offers more than a naturally aspirated, 290 HP offering. And the hybrid won't work for me as I need to tow. I want to stay with an MDX, but C'mon man.

 

My issue is using this specially-painted car as an everyday driver. I mean the paint process on an NSX makes sense - that's a much more infrequently driven and babied vehicle. But if you get a TLX or MDX in that color and you get door dinged, cart scraped, or (heaven forbid) in a minor accident - can a local body shop do the paint work they do in the factory? Or make it look close enough? Of course, maybe someone paying premium for a PMC version may take it out only on Sundays or something similar....

Oh, yea - if you want a TLX, my local dealer appears to still have one. :-)

I'm in San Antonio visiting my daughter and my MDX hybrid came due for an A1 service. The Acura dealership had a PMC TLX on floor for the same price. They said no-one has done much more than look into the windows or sit inside for a few minutes since it arrived a while ago.
