2017 MDX Sport Hybrid SHAWD?
Anyone try a 2017 MDX Sport Hybrid SHAWD? I'm interested in the Sport Hybrid SHAWD Tech. Dealers near me have plenty Sport Hybrid MDX but every single one is an Advance!! I do not want Advance because of the 2nd row Captains Chairs. I need a 3 person second row. I do not want to special order, as I don't want to overpay and get poor value. Really disappointed that I cannot find any MDX Sport Hybrid Techs. I have no interest in normal MDX solely because of the ZF transmission.

I just got one 3 weeks ago - an Advance. It is a great drive. The dual clutch transmission is the smoothest I have ever experienced. The ICE can go on/off and you do not even notice. Sport mode is amazing and hard to believe you are driving a 4500 lb SUV. Although I have never driven a SHAWD MDX, I had SHAWD in a 2004 RL. The rear electric motors torque vectoring are far superior than my RL in terms of handling.
So far, I am exceeding the mpg on trips even using cruise control at 75+ in normal mode.
This is the best driving car I've owned and it is the quietest as well. Immediate prior car was the RLX PAWS.

Great to hear the Sport Hybrid MDX has a great transmission ans drivetrain. Problem is I cannot find any dealer that has a Tech package version. I have my pick of SH-SHAWD Advance Package. The 2nd row Captains chairs kill it for me. The 3rd row is only for little kids, so do not want a 4 adult SUV. I'm very disappointed that there are no Sport Hybrid Tech package 7 seater MDX vehicles available. Acura website says they make a 7 seater Sport Hybrid Tech. Vehicle was offered over 3 months, they should be out by now. It looks like a winner.

I think they are all in Advance trim from what I can see. It is an awesome vehicle. Having two sport hybrids I can say without hesitation that it is very unique technology and does not have a true apples to apples comparison in another vehicle.

Might be hard to find since Acura is only making a limited number of hybrids. Before I bought my 17 I test drove it but wanted bench seating instead of captains chairs for the middle row. I ended up with 17' Tech AWD
