2017 MDX SHAWD Adv or ..?
I have had 5 Acura's .. Love the company and the cars - Past tense..... 3 TL's and 2 MDX's over the course of too many years to count.. Thinking of trading in my present TL for a '17 MDX SHAWD Adv ..
But pretty saddened and can't get past the blurry reverse camera , slow paddles / shift action, blurry infomat Nav screen ( com'on really...... ? and removed Weather from Sirus too ). The Nav is also so much slower to react then my '14 TL. Car seats are great, but really dumb move with the captains chairs in the second row... That last one year
I think the only car that comes close is the benz GLE 350 Although the seats are not as comfy and I understand the GLE has an evasive emergency handling challenge. High $Maint.... but at least it rides well and the shift paddles work precisely when you need them
The BMW X5 look like someone put it in the dryer and shrunk the car by 15 % - Does not have the robust look or performance from 2 years ago - although it does handle roads well - bumpy ride I have heard though
Any thoughts / opinions ?

For the MDX, the reverse camera is usable, although it's not as I expected. If you use Sports IDS mode the car responses much better.
I don't understand about blurry infomat Nav screen. It looks fine to me. It shows the traffic and incidents with icons, although the traffic feature isn't as good as google.
Overall I love driving the MDX. I do feel like driving a passenger car and it's very comfortable. It comes with many nice touches that I feel it's a very nice car. If you maintain it well and keep it clean, the car does feel much better than many other cars.
Can't speak for GLE350 and X5 as i have never tried them. Like many others have said, it depends on what's important to you. There's no perfect car and cars 5 years later will have even more features compared to yours today. You can just lease one and switch the car later.
