2017 MDX - Issue with Audio Inputs

In the morning commute I usually like a little quiet time, but I'm having some issues with getting Waze to provide navigation info over the audio system.

I connect my iPhone via USB, but I can't get just Waze audio by itself. Pandora keeps getting launched when I turn on the audio system. Even when I change the infotainment inputs to USB or Bluetooth, Pandora or the music on my phone starts playing.

Anyone else had this issue and found a solution? TIA.

Use Bluetooth for audio. If you want to charge your phone, use one of the other USB ports -- not the one that interfaces with the infotainment system.
