2016 MDX - Where is the Windshield Washer Fluid Reserve Tank
I was refilling my windshield washer fluid today and I accidentally went over the top a little spilling a bit.
My windshield washer reserve was clearly visible under the hood in my old TSX--I was easily able to see the washer fluid go inside the tank so I was careful not overfill.
With my new MDX, I can't find the windshield washer reserve tank (on my or maybe I'm not looking at the right place).
Can anyone help? Thanks

To clarify my question: How/Where can I see how much windshield fluid is left?
The reason being is that I was refilling my windshield fluid, and I went over the top spilling some into the engine. I was pretty much blindly pouring in the washer because I'm not sure where the tank is and how much is in there.

Thanks--but I think you may have misunderstood.

I have no idea, but a low washer fluid warning would be nice.
My '16 has a removable white mesh screen, so you can easily see when the fluid is nearing the top. Why they have the screen is beyond me. Perhaps to avoid the plastic seal material from the washer fluid bottle from falling in, which if you remove the seal completely is impossible to fall in the reservoir. Maybe Acura is addressing a problem that doesn't exist, or they watched too many Dave Letterman's "Does it float?" skits.

I am thinking to fill up my windshield washer too. What brand did you use on your 2016 MDX? I am thinking to buy a bottle at local Acura and mix with water but not quiet sure about that.
Please let me know the name of the brand that already mixed 50/50.
I also have 2016 MDX/AWD.
Thanks

Easier to deal with overfilling issue on Canadian versions since the tank is bigger - as soon as I see the low washer fluid warning I just pour in the whole 1 gallon bottle and it doesn't reach the top.

should I mix? or buy a pre-mixed?
Thanks

I think you kind of answered your own problem- don't fill anything on a car blindly. You can hear the fluid reaching the top, or eventually see it in the stem itself. It's not a big deal that you spilled some though. The stuff won't ruin your paint and animals likely won't be drinking it, like they do with coolant.

I am talking about the Washer Fluid. I'm thinking to buy this>
08798-9025A | Acura Windshield Washer Concentrate - Bernardi Parts
then mix with water.
I'm not quiet sure about the pre-mixed 50/50. I heard it has to be -2 or something.

Buy it from the closest gas station. I get mine from Costco, generally. Here, it's 4 bottles for $10.

Then it's no worries and no problems. Brand really doesn't matter. The only thing is- if you're buying it from a dealership, you're likely over paying for it.

I think it had to be specific for Honda/Acura? or it really doesn't matter at all.
Thinking about this one>
Valucraft/1 gal. 32 degree Fahrenheit windshield washer fluid SUMMERWW - Read Reviews on Valucraft #SUMMERWW
but not so sure.

Well where do you live? What is the lowest temp you generally get? Buy the one that is rated for lower than that
This really isn't something you can mess up. I promise.

You are reading WAY too much into it... Wiper fluid is wiper fluid. It's not something extra crucial and OEM fluid isn't going to work significantly better than anything you can buy at any store (Walmart for me). Unless you have extra cash burning in your wallet, just buy whatever the nearest parts store, gas station has and be done with it.

Go to wal-mart buy washer fluid at your budget level.
Fill it slowly when you hear it gurgling towards the top.
Honestly didn't even know Acura sold washer concentrate....lmao....don't buy that complex pre-mix stuff....any costco/walmart fluid is fine.
Good to look into things and whatnot....but seriously you over thinking this. Any fluid from any big box or auto store is fine.
Absolutely NO reason to get Honda/Acura washer fluid....the fact they even make them is pretty bad.....not everything you put in/on the car has to be OEM branded....

Well, I usually don't have problem with it on my old car, but I am not a person to mess with my brand new car. I heard they said if you put something is not the right temp, the fluid will freeze and then the tank will leak or something.
But I got it now.
btw. I live in Southern California.
Thanks Guys
