2016 MDX Driver side Rear Door
Anyone else's driver side rear door doesnt shut the first time? My sister's 2013 MDX does the same thing. She pushes the door close, and it doesnt completely close. So she has to reopen and push harder. I tried on mine (2016 MDX) and exactly the same thing. I use the same strength on the other 3 doors, and it closes fine the first time. Dealer told my sister it was the "pressure" in the car that prevents the door from shutting the first time. So we did the same scenario for all 4 doors, and it only happens on that one door.
Anyone have any insight? Ive tried to search for this, but no luck. Also cant be a coincidence that it is just her 2013 MDX and my 2016 MDX... can it?

The proper way to test the doors operation is to eliminate the pressure in the cabin. Simply leave a window open and then test the door.
If the door is still hard to close then it's hard to close. That does not necessarily mean it's defective. It could just mean a tighter fitting door.
Too many variables to name. Easiest thing to try is move the stricker out a little... up to 1/8"; make sure striker is alien with latch; lube the parts; etc.

Have the same issue with my 2015. The handle also seems a bit flimsy when opening the door. Took it to acura and they said its within standards and ither mdxs and rdxs have the same issue. Told the guy to fuck off and stop the bullshit. This isnt somethung id expect from a 50k car. Spoke with acs and waiting for a resolution.

Most likely the door handle feels flimsy bc the door is to tight or binding. The extra effort to pull open the door will make the handle feel flimsy.
Move sticker out and/or hinges too.
