I always wondered what's the use of it!!
A friend of mine told they help to deflect chips off windshield. Not sure if that's true. They look good on pickup Trucks and big SUVs I think. Not on MDX I think.
What's the real purpose of them???

Yep, that and mainly paint chips at the front edge of the hood. Mine's has a few chips from doing a lot of highway driving.

I had that on my RX450.. same thing.. US dealers did not have it.. I sourced it from Canadian dealer.. My old TSX had so much front chips. I never seen another RX3/450 with one, or any new mdx with one too
