'15 Acura MDX Transmission issues?
This one is lengthy folks - bear with me.
I'm the 2nd owner, bought it off lease with 13K miles in 2018 - now 66K miles, all Acura recommended services performed.
About 2 months ago, started to notice a vibration while shifting (almost like a burping sound/growl) and quickly got the error code P0848 to replace transmission pressure switch sensor - had that replaced.
That didn't do anything for the vibration, and so paid closer attention and narrowed the issue to shifting from 3rd/4th (and on the downshift) and only when RPM's are between 1700 and 2000. Took it to the dealer, had the mechanic drive with me, they said bad torque converter - so had that changed.
Still no improvement, so they said full transmission change, but they went to Acura Corporate and got it approved at no charge to me.
Picked up the car last week with new transmission (reman) BUT still the same (vibrate/growl/burp) from 3rd to 4th. Called the dealer, they said they were out of ideas, that the car has a new torque converter and transmission, and at least I should feel comfortable that it is not either of those things. They suggested driving the car for 500 miles before bringing it back in.
Would appreciate any feedback or ideas on next steps, other than the obvious "sell the car asap" - thanks

I'd check the engine mounts. Many times a certain stress/pressure situation will bring out a vibration due to worn mounts. That'd be my next thing to check.

Yes, check engine mounts, but you would think the dealer service would’ve checked those during torque converter and trans replacements.
This link has a description about the active engine mounts working in conjunction with the VCM. If the VCM is engaging/disengaging in conjunction with the shift maybe that is related to the symptoms.
I believe VCM only operates above certain coolant temps so not experiencing the symptoms when the car is cold may support the potential correlation.
