Winter tires help

Hi guys.. I bought a set of winter tires and steelies from a 2007 honda accord as per the seller. The specs are 205x60x16. I look it up online and the hub bore size of the 2007 accord is the same as my 2012 tsx which is 64.1mm.

When I installed the steelies the hub bore is too big and measured at 70.1mm. Can I still use this or is there a hub centric ring that I can purchase? Also can I use my oem lugs on these steelies?

I live in Canada and need these winter tires anytime soon Appreciate your help in advance!

1/ The tire size appears to be OK (diameter variance -0.67 compared to the original 225/55/17). The narrower tire would actually work really well in snow.

2/ The steel rims appears not to be hub-centric - Looks like the original rim owner got some generic rims (e.g., from costco). I don't think you can use a ring on steel rims.

I personally would not use non-hub-centric rims on any of my cars - you are relying on the lungs for properly centering the rim and this may cause issues such as vibrations, etc. not to mention fatigue problems on the bolts themselves.

Hub rings are used to assist in installation of the wheel. They are not needed for centering or holding the wheel once it is bolted on.

You don't need centering rings. But they help for installing the wheel.

If you decide you want centering rings, a tire shop will almost surely have some in stock for you.

Nah, hub rings do help mitigate vibrations if the CB of the wheel doesn't match the CB of the hub.

Those snow tires are actually a little on the small side (short). The proper -1 size (the proper term for moving down a wheel size, in this case from 17" to 16") is 215/60x16 to maintain the same diameter. You can use them, they'll just look a little . . . small (and exacerbate the already big tire/wheel well gap). I've never heard of using hub rings with steel wheels, and as stated, they're not really required (though if they did fit the wheels and you could find some, I would use them). DO NOT USE your OE lug nuts. They're not the same type (the lug nuts "seat" differently on the wheels) and will not work properly with your steel wheels. Yes, they'll go on and they'll tighten up, but chances are you'll ruin the lug nuts, the wheels, or both (oh, and it's not safe). You can find a set of aftermarket ones on ebay for like $20.
