Smile Volk GT-U 18" x 8" set up on '10 TSX

I just bought volk racing GT-U 18 x 8 +43 offset for my 2010 TSX 6MT.

I'm going to lower 1" with Eibach Pro-kit.

What size tires should I get? 235/40 or 235/45?

I want to fill up the gap but don't want to rub or need to roll fenders.

Also, I did research and found that +43 offset is acceptable, but will it look funny? Will the wheels stick out too much?

Any help would be much appreciated!!

Use this:

http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCal...?action=submit

235/40s will have shorter sidewall height (fill less of the wheel gap) and the speedo will read faster than your real speed. 235/45s will be taller and the speedo will read slower. Both are off by less than 2%, but you can also consider something like 245/40 or 225/45 which are closer to stock diameter, although 225 series IMO looks too small. Personally, I'd do 245/40.

With 245/40 and a +43 offset will the wheel/tires extend outside my fenders?

I doubt it. From what I've seen around here, people have been able to get more aggressive offsets on with no issues. Again, use the tools in the link above and go take some measurements. I think they will stick out an additional 0.2" vs. stock, which your fenders have room for, especially on a mild drop. Don't quote me on it, this was just based on a quick calculation on http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp

No problem. All the best, and when the rims are on, please post pics. Those look like they might fit pretty nicely on the TSX.

They won't stick out. I've got +45 18's on mine with prokits and I'm still thinking of getting some spacers to push them out further.

Let's see some pics!

These are 18 x 8 with a +39mm offset. I currently have 235/45's on them, but I'm switching to a 225/45. 235's round out a bit too much, giving it a 'bubbly' appearance on the rim. The 225 has a cleaner fit. My +39mm offset lines up with the fenders nicely. The 235/45 actually made the tire stick out ever-so-slightly beyond the fender, as you can see in the pics. Your set up will be fine.

Jeroplex...ended up going to 245/40/18. Think that was the right fit.

Only thing i did was get these Volk GTU's 18x8 and dropped it. Oh, also got rear camber arms.

I'm pretty satisfied. I think the offset in the front is perfect. However, I probably could have gone up to +39 in the rear. But I bought the wheels used so I'm pretty satisfied on how they fit.

I'll try to get more pics up.

Im sure you had a reason for going only with a mild drop, but if your car was lower...the ride would look absolutely amazing. Mesh wheels require a substantial drop in my opinion to look good.
