which size tire!?!?

these will be going on 18x8 a-specs.

I want the tires just a tad wider than the rims...I've seen 235/40 and they looked too narrow...thinking 245s now???? thoughts?

Stock tire on the V6 18x8 is 235/45. Its got just enough tire for curb protection, but looks pretty flush.

If ride quality is a big factor, the 245/40 is significantly more comfortable vs the 235 options, with more rim protection. You're going to have a little less, but generally firmer, sidewall with the 235, so it'll feel a little tighter taking turns. Can't go wrong with either.

yep I was looking at the sidewall heights...

235/40= 3.7
235/45= 4.16-seems like this would be most comfy (not a huge concern tho)
245/40= 3.85

any downside for the 245/40 besides a slighter higher price?
seems like a good compromise with tire width (a little wider for curb protection) and slimmer sidewall height than the OEM 17's 4.42.

thanks for the input.

if youre sticking with stock suspension, id go 235/45.

im running 245/40/18's and i wish i had gotten 45s to fill the gap a bit more.
it would look perfect if i had gotten 45s instead of 40s.

im runnin 18x8 +35.

the rear is perfectly flush.
the front stick out a tiny bit.

this is the gap with 245/40/18 on stock suspension.

amount of poke in the front.

but the aspecs have a higher offset so i dont think yours will poke at all.
youd prob have to get spacers in the rear to flush. fronts i think would be close to flush

I personally favor the 245s because I like wide tires + more comfort. I tried 235/40 for a bit and didn't like the ride as much (I drive on bad roads in and around DC).
